I have Fibro and that pain doctor I went to wants to do trigger point

injections on me are those painful? he claims they will help me. I would

not mind going back to him for that ( if I ever get regular insurance )

and am wondering if anyone on the list who has fibro has ever had the shots.

Hi Pamm,

Yes, they can be painful but they are also very helpful. The doctor will do

the injection directly into the area(s) that are most painful or are

causing pain and radiating to other areas. Many times the trigger points

themselves are knotted up, so the injection can be a little painful just

due to that. The discomfort has never lasted too long when I've had them

and the relief makes it worth it.

I forgot to ask how often do shots have to be given he told me the shots

will be $35.00 each and medicare will only pay for 1 and he does at

least 5 at a time. so I hope if I get the shots they last for awhile
