Hi -

My boys started swallowing pills when my littlest was

2. It was totally unexpected. I had theirs ready to

crush and was taking mine, and since they were

watching, I just said " I'm putting them in my tummy by

swallowing them, and when you learn how to do that,

you won't have to taste the yucky yucky taste. " So

.... they picked them up and swallowed them. (Totally

blew my mind!)

I wrap the ones I wash or cut w/a little margarine.

It really makes them slide down easily.

And if you take a capsule - (I didn't learn this till

late 30s) it seems easier actually to tilt your head a

touch forward and swallow rather than throwing your

head back like I always thought you were supposed to

do. Don't let them tilt heads back or it'll be hard.

Some people practice w/empty capsules or caps weighted

w/something plain.

It's so worth trying!

I think if you do search on this list of pill swallowing you will

get lots of good advice. In order to avoid any taste, even from the

pills being swallowed, we put everything in a gel cap.
