Guest guest
Not sure if anyone can help me with this. I have a friend who is looking at a product called Steamroller from Southpaw Enterprises because her daughter constantly seeks deep pressure. The child rolls through it to provide pressure on the body and the tension of the rollers can be adjusted. Has anyone heard of this or tried it? My friend would like to have some feedback before buying it and no one on our local ASD list had heard of it. Thanks, Rhoda
Guest guest
I haven't heard of it... But she should be able to try it on a trial basis before purchasing, as you can never know if the child will like it or not. (It does sound good, though.) A good massage therapist may be in order. cynthia --- Rhoda Boyd <rboyd@...> wrote: > Not sure if anyone can help me with this. Guest guest
This sounds comparable to the " squeeze machine " that Temple Grandin had designed. I think I saw one at a school I visited. You definitely need to provide adult supervision during its use. Heidi -------------- Original message -------------- From: " Rhoda Boyd " <rboyd@...> Not sure if anyone can help me with this. Guest guest
Heidi and others: The best form of stimulation I have found is massage therapy for children. There are an array of therapists including : NEUROMUSCULAR, CRANIOSACRAL, DEEP TISSUE, SHIATSU, SWEDISH, ACCUPRESSURE. If your friend has the $$ for machine for personal use, tell her to try one of these therapists out. I guarantee child will take to one and their are many benefits to massage. Michele Cerruto.
