AC users- ID number vs MR number

Hi Ac users, do u use patients ID number as patients MR number or it is not necessary to have a MR number. If u have MR number how do u assign one. Thanks for any thoughts. malar

the id # is the med rec #, and is assigned at the time the patient is entered into AC. you do not have to do anything to assign the #. you cannot assign a # as far as i know.
