Guest guest Posted October 7, 2006 Report Share Posted October 7, 2006 Hello Group- We wanted to let all of you know that the Combating Autism Act that passed unanimously in the Senate (S.843) has now been stalled in the House by the chairman of the Commerce and Energy Committee, Joe Barton (202-225-2002). Everyone should call his office to urge him to bring this vital legislation to the full House for a vote when Congress reconvenes in November. Also you can call the House Speaker Dennis Hastert at 202-225-0600, and you can call the House Majority Leader Boehner at 202-225-4000 and urge them both to convince Barton to act immediately. Barton's inaction is an outrage and can't be tolerated by the families of children with autism! For more info go to autismspeaks.org.
