Guest guest
Thanks for that .. that line should not be there!! I've uploaded build 3 which should fix it. You don't need a static IP if the IP doesn't change too much .. it's just for tracking so users can be charged. If you want to test it from home, let me know what the IP address is. It can be any directory .. not necessarily C:\ > > > > > > > I tried running the autofile.exe (I don't have a static IP) > and it gave me this message: > > ** Access Error: Cannot open /e/rebgui7/rebgui.r > ** Near: do %/e/rebgui7/rebgui.r > change-dir first split-path > ** Press enter to quit... > > I do have ghostscript 8.51 installed. Guest guest
I've updated it to build 5 with TIFF support ( requires Imagemagick to be installed ) and also have built a Linux version. -- Graham Chiu http://www.synapsedirect.com Synapse - the use from anywhere EMR. Guest guest
Lynn I've got to feed my 2 chickens too .. and find time to build a coop for them. They're only 4 months old I'm going to use them as a bird flu early warning system! > > > > > > > > Holy god Graham I cannot keep up with you. > just got the winzip utility working - now I guess I don't need it... > OK guess I've been promoted to version 16. > Hey, some of us gotta work and take care of the chickens and do the billing! > :-) > Lynn -- Graham Chiu http://www.synapsedirect.com Synapse - the use from anywhere EMR. I don't get too many .pdfs from Yep, it works well on TIFF faxes and if you have the fax id printed at the top of each received fax, it makes it much easier to develop a rule to identify the fax. > other people and I don't > have software that creates .pdfs from scans. Guest guest
I've got more work to do! Lynn sent me a fax from paperport with a rather odd name that imagemagick didn't like. So, I now have to alter the file names before attempting the OCR, and also have an option to strip off cover pages. But rules are easy to make .... perhaps I need to create a video as it's easier to understand such a visual task that way. > > > > > > > Graham, > > I tried the latest autofile version 17 with the rules file you > sent me based on the fax lab report image I sent you. Guest guest
I've released build 18 with the following enhancements: * Option to use Tesseract on the regions after the form type has been recognized. Use this on high quality deskewed scans. Will speed up the recognition quite considerably. * Regions are now cropped before being OCR'd and any regions that are pure white are no longer submitted. * Copies the source files to the local directory before running ghostscript/imagemagick ... as some filenames generated by Paperport would cause an error Still have to tackle the situation where the file you want recognized has a cover page that has to be stripped off ( sorry Lynn! ) -- Graham Chiu http://www.synapsedirect.com Synapse - the use from anywhere EMR. Guest guest
The first public release of a version of Synapse with autoimport is now available for testing. Synapse will take a directory of scanned documents/faxes that have been named by the Autofile utility and import them directly into the database, so that they appear in the appropriate doctor's inbox. Previously it took a couple of minutes to manually process each file .... opening the file, looking for the patient details, finding the patient, allocating the document to the correct doc, deciding on the document type and date and then importing it. Now all of this is automated. If we get 20 faxes/scans per day, and assuming an accuracy of document recognition of 100% ( quite possible with a decent scanner ), then that's 20 x 2 = 40 mins per day saved. Over a month, that adds up to 4.4 x 6 x 40 = 1056 minutes per month, or 12,762 mins per year, or, 211 hours per year. If your receptionist is being paid $10 per hour, then you save $2,110 per year. And if you're doing all this yourself without a receptionist, then that's 211 hours a year more that you can spend with your family! -- Graham Chiu http://www.synapsedirect.com Synapse - the use from anywhere EMR.
