Hi-has been a while since I've posted I started to work again! I've

got a job that isn't as physically demanding as my former nursing

position but right in my field of pregnant women and babies--but now

I'm getting more headaches again from having to read and be on the

computer. a neighbor told me that he thought his doctor might be able

to help with " pylotherapy? " -injections to strengthen the ligaments.

I recall someone posted had had this but I haven't been able to find

out anymore about it, anyone have any ideas?

I might just go back to a chiropractor but was disillusioned when my

last one told me that he should stop billing my car insurance as I

wasn't improving but that he could bill my health insurance since

they pay longer! I asked why I should keep on going if I wasn't

improving and he told me for maintenance as I would get a lot worse-

well I don't think I'm worse in fact I think my low back is better

but I could still use pain management stuff. I wish my insurance

covered accupuncture because that has been helpful for me too.

I do have hope though because I have been able to cut down on my meds

with better pacing of myself and I'm lucky in that I can take pain

medication now at work since I don't have to make split-second

decisions.

hope to read from any who have had this done-Darcy

I believe that is prolotherapy. I just had it done to my sacroiliac

joint. I will say it worked on my SI joint, but I now have a lot of

sensitive areas around where the injection was given. They say that can

happen sometimes. They have given me Lidoderm patches for that pain now.

I do believe it was worth it for the SI joint, but it looks like all the

pain was not there and they are now going to do it in a couple of other

spots close to the spine.

I hope this helps.
