Guest guest
Hello My 3yo has just about finished a cycle of nystatin and we are about to embark on acyclovir for 3 months. My dr warned he may actually get a fever and be unwell and we need to balance that with what happens. He is positive for herpes but not active and a really high value for CMV. I read in McCandless' book that there isn't an antiviral for CMV but my dr said she had rung Dr Goldbergs office and they still use antivirals for these What are your experiences with this drug? I have to crush it up and syringe him a portion to get the right dosage 3x a day.... big sigh... with all the other supplements we put in all his other foods. Is there a taste? And if so, anyone have a quickfire way to get a newly 3yo to swallow pills? :-) Thanks
