Guest guest
Does Dr. Goldberg require the initial visit to be in person or can one do a telephone visit first and then an in-office visit (possibly same time as a Spect) later? Guest guest
It is just my speculation, but I do not believe Dr. G would begin treatment on a patient he has never seen. It likely has to be in person, and then correspondence with him and the office after that. > > Does Dr. Goldberg require the initial visit to be in person or can one > do a telephone visit first and then an in-office visit (possibly same > time as a Spect) later? > > Thanks: > > >
Guest guest
, I think you have to be there in person for the initial visit (I seem to remember hearing that somewhere)... but you could always call and ask... his office phone # is 818-343-1010. I think I remember something being mentioned about the ethics of prescribing meds to a patient who has not been seen in the office. But after initial visit, depending on how the child is doing, you may be able to go long stretches of time between visits. We have been out twice for my oldest son... once when he was in first grade, once last fall (he was starting 5th grade). We did our SPECT scan the day before my son¹s very first appointment, so the results were available during the initial consultation. Our pediatrician ordered all of the initial labs, too, before we went, so those results were in hand that first time. Guest guest
This is correct; the initial visit has to be in person. Dr. Goldberg would never prescribe meds for a patient he has never seen. I do remember reading on this list someone saying that their child has been with Dr. Goldberg 5, 6 years or so and only had to see him in his office that one time; after that, they have always worked with him over the telephone.
