Guest guest
Absolutely glycerin-free soaps exist but I don't think it's possible for me to make them If this person isn't adding any glycerin to the soap it might be fine to use for teeth. I think the main problem with most soaps and toothpastes that most of them have added glycerin. I think a few rinses would get rid of the minimal amounts of glycerin that are inherent in the oils. "Soap takes oils and other items off the teeth leaving them perfectly clean. Toothpastes, all of them, with 60% glycerin in them, require over 20 washes to remove it, thus leaving the teeth with a coating at all times. Soap takes only two rinses and it is off". Guest guest
Yes, I'm the " soap guy " . I just joined the group and it looks like someone else has already responded with the numbers that I've found.. it seems that cold- process soap (which is the process used to make most " handmade/homemade soaps " and is the process that I use) contains somewhere between 15-25% glycerin. This has been pretty informative for me because that's something I wasn't aware of - unfortunately it might not be a good thing for you if it's true that glycerin is bad for teeth. It's still good for skin as far as I know.
