a little immunization vent

Serious sigh.The State of Maine supplies vaccines free to providers who do a little paper work It is not terribly onerousand given what everyone else in the list serv talks about and has seemed to me to be a good program

there have been ever increasing rules about X vaccine can only be given at X site-- rotateq eg and do not use State MMR-V for the second dose and i have been negotiating the maze Well rememebr when in the fall i was confused about flu shot and immunixation billing?that was because In the few yrs i have been up and running; one year I bought all my vaccines , and one year i got them all from the state-( so you can charge some adminsitrative fee)

but it can be Medicare's fee for flu shots and for childhood VFC vaccines you can only charge a maximum of some wierd number fee (which i have charges less tha n anyway to k eep things simple)Are you still with me here becasue it gets worse..

So gradually my head has been spinning over immunization matters And I remember a Gordon post about " frankly i would not care if someone else took that away from primary c are and someone just did the immunizations for us " and i thought WHAT Gordon said that?? but alas i have come to the same conclusion because today.

Today, i get an email back from the state wherein I asked a question about the record keeping The record keeping is now all on the internet so i have been gradually moving all my kids' info to that system. fine becasue it works so that when Kid X moves to your neighborhood and does not know his shots you can go in and see Sounds good

ButI needed to order varicellathey w ill not sned me varicella til i have reconciled my inventoryI have far fewer shots on hand than they say i should. WHY? Becasue I have given shots including 80 flu shots .Which are not part of the VFC program and which i can even charge differently as i said above.

Becasue i ddi not go into this system every single time i gave a flu shot and create an account and demographics for every sinlge person I gave one to, it says says my inventory does not reconcilethere fore i cannot get vaccines from the state

Now exactly how many hours will it take me to fix this?? I certainly will never get flu shots from the state again, but now unless i fix this i cannot get any childhood immuinzations from the stateWHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY?? DOES ANYONE THINK THAT ANYONE WHO WENT TO MED SCHOOL FOR YEARS WOULD VOLUNTEREER TO GO INTOPRIMARY CARE TO PUT UP WITH THIS CRAP?

i sent my " educator " at the state- who is very nice- an emailTold her she made me cry.And don't any of you tell me to suck it up.-- If you are a patient please allow up to 4-8 hours for a reply by email/
