Guest guest
Hello Don, My anxiety has mostly been obsessive worry/anticipation. In the past (not recently) I have been very much a person of AVOIDANCE, bills, school etc. I got through it (I'm not sure how) and havent had any huge panic attacks lately which is great. Sleeping was also an issue due to worry. (Currently, I'm taking a sleep tonic with hops, valerian, catnip, cammomile and passion flower....just because I cannot get to sleep or get a deep night's sleep without it) I think that a lot of my anxiety and stress is currently triggered by the fact that i'm slightly hyperactive. I have trouble sitting still to get things done (though I do have moments of HYPERfocus where I'm EXTREMELY productive) Physical symptoms of my anxiety (currently): avoidance (if you can call it that), forgetfulness, irritability and hyperactivity emotional: irritability, overemotional-ness, big mood swings Sorry for the long post, but I appreciate your input. --- In health , Don Quai <> > ====================== > Hi , > > Would you be so kind and describe to me the symptoms of your anxiety? > Does this stem from fears? Big pharma doesn't want you off their drugs and they intend to make sure that you are a lifestime customer. Have you tried any of the Bach Remedies? White Chestnut is good for non-productive thoughts going round and round in your head. Agrimony is for worry which is denied and hidden behind amiable cheerfulness. Red Chestnut if for over worry about the welfare of others. If your anxiety is due to fear of the unknown (even if it is unknown to you) then Aspen would help. Boronia flower essence, by Australian Bush, is good for obsessive thoughts. Nasturtium flower essence, from FES, is to relieve hyperactivity of mental forces leading to extreme fatigue. If you are still having problems with sleeping then swap out the valerian with skullcap and vervain. You sound a lot like me. Just a tad wired. LOL My next question is to ask how much cleansing you have done in the past? Have you ever used any food products containing Aspartame in the past? -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Guest guest
Hello Don, I've only tried Cherry Plum essences...and they worked beautifully. So, I'll be anxious to try the flower remedies. As far as aspartame goes, I steer clear of it. I chastise my familymembers for using it infact. I never really have ever had much aspartame in my diet, for a few years now I've sworn completely off of it. The only caffeine I even put in my system is coffee and tea. (which is only one or two cups of caffinated in the morning) As far as cleansing, I'm a newbie. As you read, I started (and quit) a simple 3 day juice fast, but plan on starting one a week from today actually. I do own a juicer however and have access to local and non- local organic fruits and vegetables. I'm very interested though, just a little intimidated. And yes...I'm wired you could say! Type A personality, highstrung, rip roaring and ready to go!!!! It drives the significant others nuts because I cannot even watch a movie without having other activities going on as well, cooking, reading, needlepoint, jewelry...you name it! Thanks so much for your help...I cant say enough how much I appreciate it. Twenty things going on at the same time. Althought I understand, there is no need to be intimidated by doing a cleanse. They are the most natural thing in the world for our bodies. There are several companies out there making some really wonderful flower essences. Besides Bach there is FES, Australian Bush, Master's, Green Hope, Alaskan, Living/Australia, Pegasus, and Perelandra. There may be more. I am only familiar with the first three but I am sure that the rest are very good. Caffeine is our worst enemy ( for us high strung types that is). I find that it makes me lose focus and I tend to get more scattered after drinking coffee. Teas don't seem to affect me as negatively. If I don't drink the coffee (as in not having had any for months) I find that I am very focused, energetic and still high strung. But much calmer, if that makes any sense to you. Staying away from carbs seems to help a lot too. Cleansing really helps tremendously. Then I am extremely focused. Still high strung and full of energy. Guess that is just my makeup. Aspartame is just plain bad news. One doesn't even need to do it for long to have long lasting negative effects from it. This stuff really screws with the brain chemistry big time and the rest of the body too. None of the synthetic sweeteners are any good for anyone. They are toxic, just plain toxic. Aspartame is on the same level as Cipro and the other fluoroquinolones. Some people only have to try it once to have problems. Once you have done your first cleanse you will wonder why you never did them before!? They really are wonderful. Do you engage yourself in meditation? Yoga? Tai Chi? Or any discipline that requires you to focus and concentrate your mind? This can be of great value and assistance for you. Just a thought. Peace be with you . Do let us know when you begin your cleanse. -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Bach used 7 but very rarely that many for anything. I would think that mixing 3 or 4 maybe 5 would be just fine. -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Guest guest
, Tell the significant other that he needs to do some reading on Atkins... They're finding out it is not all it is cracked up to be.... Good girl for staying away from it. Suzisarahlovell@... wrote: Don,How often do you suggest a juice cleanse (3-day) when your'e first starting out. I have read that many people do it once a month. Being calmer (but still high strung) after doing without caffeine completely makes sense. I don't think I drink coffee for the caffine, but more the taste. Wierd I know! I'm curious to know what limiting (or staying away from) Carbs does. My significant other has been PREACHING the atkins diet to me, (preaching to closed ears I might add). I have an issue with diets that say to stay away from fruits becaus eof the sugar. I try not to eat refined carbs anyway. I'd like to try limiting more of them if you find it of help.As far as yoga, tai chi etc. I have done a bit of pilates but i have tried yoga. I can't sit still!!! Big surprise. I also cannot seem to clear my mind to meditate, though I would very very much like to be able to quiet my head. Perhaps after working with some flower essences, I might be able to a bit more. I find myself focused the best when I really really am in need of physical endurance. I do a high-intensity weight training class 2-3x a week and that is when I am mthe most focused. When I need to use my brain AND my body to a high degree. Thanks for the help, and I will let you know when I start my fast.Love and Light,--- In health , Don Quai
