Guest guest
My husband is a forensic psychiatrist and is running an imp style psych practice now. If he gets a request like this, he bills like an attorney. You should send the attorney a bill, and it should be hefty, much like they bill for their time. Mike also gets lots of requests for legal type documentation (such as disability etc..) for people he doesn't think should have it, or just isn't interested in getting in the middle of (child abuse perpetrators or just difficult people) and he says he can't add anything or doesn't feel he can help further. In this case, I think you should bill the attorney for what you have already done and let them know that the patient should be evaluated by a forensic psychiatrist or psychologist for this legal issue. You are not able to do anything further, Here in Columbus there is one forensic psychiatrist and 2 forensic psychologists. These kinds of documentation are their bread and butter. The attorney has to know that and just wants to get it for free. KrisGet trade secrets for amazing burgers. Watch "Cooking with Tyler Florence" on AOL Food.
