Guest guest
Hi All! Just started our son on compounded Acyclovir suppositories. We had to go with the suppositories b/c he fought us with everything else. He still fights us, but at least it is going a lot quicker and I know that he is getting his full dose. I'll let you know how it goes. My doc wasn't too keen on changing the Valtrex to Acyclovir suppositories, but was willing to give it a try. His nurse made a crack at me saying that " It might work, then again I think that you are actually throwing money down the drain. " Thanks for the vote of confidence. Man, this better work, I want so badly to tell her " See, I told you so! " I was reading up on on Risperdal. Anyone have any experiences with it? I had written earlier last week about thinking it was time to put my son on SSRI's, then I came across Risperdal. It seems to be treating children for the same things that have been troubling me about my son's behavior. Of course, I will get him tested for clostridia before I go the SSRI or Risperdal route, but do any of you have experiences with it? Good or bad. Thanks,
Guest guest
Be very careful with SSRIs,especially with Risperdal. In my very very humble opinion, these have not been carefully studied enough to know the true long term effects on children. When our doc talked to us about this he mentioned the possibility of developing a mouth tic that may not go away upon discontinuation of the med. We said NO WAY to that. Research carefully before deciding upon any of these meds. Ask your doctor for a list of side effects, both short and long term, and do tons of googling. Again, just my opinion. Can't you tell I'm anti on anti-psych meds? Acyclovir suppositories/Risperdal Hi All!Just started our son on compounded Acyclovir suppositories. Guest guest
Oh, also I understand that kids tend to gain LOTS of weight on Risperdal.
