Guest guest
Hello I am new here, and I have joined to hopefully get some information on CFS. Back in November I had a really bad food poisoning that lasted a week and I lost loads of weight. Some time after that, I had a 'virus' that my Dr didn't identify and wasn't treated. He has just told me that the blood test showed up 'a virus'. In December I started getting chest pains and getting very tired. The Dr thought it was a heart condition which has subsequently been ruled out. Now, though, he insists that is is stress and depression. Well, I have to say - I wasn't feeling particularly stressed, and certainly not depressed, prior to feeling ill! Now if I do anything, I am exhausted. I can iron for an hour, for example, and then have to sit down. I went to a school meeting one morning last week for half an hour, and spent the rest of the day in the recliner chair, dozing in and out of sleep. My Dr won't consider anything apart from depression and stress, but I think that is a misdiagnosis. He has put me on antidepressants that have given me insomnia which doesn't help the fatigue one bit! What do you think? Do you think this is CFS or not?
