yep... has asthma too. She used to be severely constipated as well which makes GERD lots worse. The Drs answer was of course MORE DRUGS... geesh.. what a mess. They used Miralax ( propylene glycol!!!!) and lactolouse.. an indigestible sugar which added to her digestion problems, feed the gut bugs and yeast and she required more and more to keep things going It was NUTS.. really nuts. All the while she is feeling worse and worse and not better. The prilosec did heal the stenosis though, that the Good Lord.

So I got really tired of them doing this to her and not really caring about she FELT etc... this was the GI docs, her ENT was wonderful and he took care of the stenosis. And that's when I decided to try diet and came across the SCD which has helped her more than 4 pediatric specialist have combined ;-)

Her asthma is improving as we go along too. I really can't recommend this diet ENOUGH.. it's a miracle worker and very easy to do to boot. It's amazing how a messed up gut can totally mess up your entire body, and even more amazing that docs in the mainstream totally pooh pooh it.

With your family history, it would be a very good idea for you to give it a try.

Carol the pediatric gastroenterologist for my gave him lactulose too. God what a horrible thing to do to a child. Made him way sicker than he already was. That was when I completely stopped taking him to her. He has one maintstream doctor now and only goes when absolutely necessary. With 's particular problems, giving him pur aloe vera juice every day is what cured him up. When he was really feeling bad some fresh dandelion leaves shredded in his favorite soup helped as well. Amazing that such readily available natural things could cure a sick little boy when the mordern docs could not.
