Guest guest
Hi all - My 5yr old has been on a decline for some time now and is chronically fatigued, and I just realized that a couple of months or so ago, he had had mycoplasma (verified by rapid test), and apparently hasn't gotten over it yet. I had to get a new pediatrician, and so far I'm not particularly happy with him - no more done than a CBC and mono-spot, and since the CBC was normal, he seems to not think anything is wrong. We do have an appt w/an infectious disease at Children's, but it's a month away and I am SO not content w/waiting that long! Anyway, I'm going to have to go somewhere else to address this problem, but first wanted to know if anyone's child has been treated by Dr G for chronic mycoplasma, and what antibiotic he chose and for how long, as well as which labs must be done to prove chronic infection. I know the rapid test would no longer be positive. Guess I'm anticipating problems, but of course I would, since that's all there ever has been. (Grrrr). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks- __________________________________________________
