Guest guest
Jerri: Where do you get mineral oil for wax problems? Is it over the counter, I've never seen it? I need something to prevent excessive ear wax with my four year old. Thanks. Re: Very sick little boy I am so sorry you are going through this. I wish I had some advice for you. I remember when my son was 4. It seemed like one crisis after another. Now there are different crisis' but at least he is not so sick. We took him to the emergency room so many times at that age. I remember constantly doubting Dr. G then also. But thankfully we have stuck in here. My son had ear tubes put in last Dec. He is 9 years old and will be 10 in Jan. He started talking real loud again. I took him to the ENT and he said his right tube is missing. There was a lot of wax my son would not let him get out. He told me to put a few drops of mineral oil to keep the ear wax dissolved. I have also been using the old fashioned ear candles. They pull the wax out. I know this is not information for your situation right now. But maybe something for the future? I'm supposed to take him back to the ENT for them to decide whether to put another tube in there. I have been putting it off because I so dread for him to have another surgery. I'm hoping and praying your son will be well soon. Guest guest
, I just wanted to throw in here that my little guy had TONS of excessive ear wax until we got the seasonal allergies under decent control. I don't know exactly what the connection was, but I definitely think there was one in his case. Caroline > From: " K. Guest guest
Hi , The Dr. mentioned Baby Oil so I have been using this. It has a strong fragrance so I am not so sure this is great. I have been putting baby oil in very infrequently (like twice a week) because I ran out of ear candles. I am hoping this will help but I can't tell anything right now because my son is still out of whack big time. Jerri K. Fischer wrote: > Jerri: Where do you get mineral oil for wax problems? Guest guest
I know you are right on the mark here. My son has so many seasonal allergies. We live in the mountains and certain times of the year are real bad. I know right now he is affected by them and I'm pretty sure this is what brought his eonsinophils up because I have checked everything in his diet and I can't think of what else it could be. Excessive ear was makes sense too! Thanks, JErri Caroline Glover wrote: > , > > I just wanted to throw in here that my little guy had TONS of excessive ear > wax until we got the seasonal allergies under decent control. Guest guest
P.S. A very important P.S. How did you get his seasonal allergies under control? I was just thinking of emailing Kayth on for her suggestions, too. Thanks, Jerri Caroline Glover wrote: > , > > I just wanted to throw in here that my little guy had TONS of excessive ear > wax until we got the seasonal allergies under decent control.
