Guest guest
I've heard raw potato slices or raw egg white will help with puffiness.. Drinking lots of water may help, also. Carrot, frankincense, myrrh, rose and sandalwood essential oils are very good for aging skin, lavender and chamomile are good for puffy skin. Avocado would be a good carrier oil, with some evening primrose oil and jojoba thrown in? I really like unrefined shea butter, also, and that would give your oil some body as it's solid at room temperature. Warmly, Virginia in Milwaukee " Question authority. [mailto:sarahlovell@...] Hello Everyone, I'm just starting out in creating bath and body products (as well as herbal remedies, I'm trying to sort of combine the two) and my significant other has asked for my help. He is just now starting to wear contacts and is embarassed about the puffiness below his eyes. He is aging and under his eyes has not aged well and would like to do something about it, naturally if possible. This is a first for me and wondered if maybe some of you could advise best. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for the help! Anne Best priced essential oils! Eucalyptus leaf and flax seed on Sale this week! Cotton Blossom Fragrance oil on Sale! Guest guest
This may sound bad, but models use this and I have used it (and it works) for under eye puffiness: preparation H! Not sure if that has something specific in it ingredient wise that could be bought pure or plain. I know what he is going through with the under eye puffiness with the contacts. I also wear them, and there are days where it is REALLY bad! Our eye doctor said it is NOT as bad if you alternate wearing your contacts and glasses. Wear your contacts for up to 12 hours, then no contacts or just glasses for the other 12. Or wear the contacts today, your glasses tomorrow. It gives the eyes a rest and oxygen. At my last eye doctor visit, I was informed that, not only do I have the start of cataracts (at 32) (common with contact wearers), but that my eyes are oxygen deprived from the contacts!!!!!! Problem is, I have old glasses, the prescription hasn't been updated in 4 years, and wearing them gives me a horrible headache. I have to get them updated and then I will be doing the 1 day contacts, 1 day glasses deal to help my eyes. Good luck! Let us know what works for him! Alice in SD PS: I was also told to hold an ice cube in a washcloth on the puffiness for about 10 minutes, that it helps. But I haven't tried it. Guest guest
Hi Sara Ann: I really don't think that there is anything that you can make or buy that will eliminate under eye puffiness. The only thing that I can recommend is, if he has the money, to have cosmetic surgery done to get rid of his under eye puffiness. The puffiness is usually caused by fatty deposits under the eye. Guest guest
LMFAO! Yup, it is able to be used around the eyes as, a hemorrhoid is actually a varicose vein of the rectum. And, since it is actually mostly internal tissue, it is very sensitive. Hence, the ability to use it around the eyes (just be careful not to get it IN the eyes, might shrink them too)! Guest guest
My herb book says slices of cold cucumber over the eyes takes down puffiness and most of us have it in the fridge.
