Guest guest
I wondered one thing about gall bladder removal, though. Since your body isn't processing fats the same way, are you supposed to cut your fat intake? I've had three friend who had their gall bladder removed, so I was curious. Thanks. Guest guest
The gall bladder just stores bile... your digestion will be different, but you can still eat fats. Guest guest
Anyone who has had their gallbladder removed needs to take certain enzymes every single day, as that is what that reservoir was originally for, to gradually feed these substances into the digestive tract, to help digest certain types of foods. When it is no longer there, that's not happening any more, so the timing is no longer regulated properly. Any internal organ that we have is there for a good reason. It's sort of like when the thyroid is removed, you've got to have a replacement for what it was making, though it is never again as perfect as that was at one time. Funny how doctors just don't seem to know this very well, even about a gall bladder.
