Guest guest
Hi There! I am so happy that you found something, anything to help you with your pain~! For me Lyrica did nothing for me. I have to say though, I've been on high level pain medications for a long time due to degenerative bone disease so if Lyrica helped, I guess Iwould not know it. It however can be a huge help to someone else in the group that has not advanced as I have with this DD. Thankyou for sharing what has worked as a magic bullet for you! God Bless!~ Love > > CFIDS, CFS, ME, FM & related illnessesI have to tell you, my doc prescribed lyrica to me a month ago and I LOVELOVELOVE this pill!!! Guest guest
Hi NANA, Welcome! Well you sound like a veteran of the immune wars all right <sigh>. I have lived with this since the eighties and yes, the diagnoses do add up over time. Presumably you have had the rheumie’s appointment by now and I hope they had a good idea for pain relief for you. It’s a huge issue. Let us know what happens and keep in touch! TC, Aylwin xo

She has me taking tazadone for sleep. which i keep telling her it doesn't do any good , and she has me on ultram for pain.and it doesn't do anything for me. i just hope this stuff does something. if not i think i'll have to find a new doctor. laurie " J. Guest guest
Laurie, ] I was on Lyrica over a year and had horrible swelling. My kidneys began to be affected and that was the first medication they took away from me. So be sure and watch closely for side affects. I personally had NO help with energy or sleeping. In fact I was having problems with being more lethargic than normal. I know all medications affects everyone differently, and no two people react the same to medication. I would just like to caution you on watching for any side affects you might have from it. Good Luck with Lyrica. Roxanne 4a. Guest guest
What was the dose on your Lyrica? I was told that physicians should start at 50mg three times a day for 1-2 wks, then it should be increased to 100mg three times a day. With a total of 300-450mg daily. I just started taking Lyrica and I'm only on the 50mg three times a day. It is not really working well yet. I still have to take Ultram in ththe evening. Hopefully once I get to the higher dosing it will be better. Kendra > > To: All who may be interested . hi, I'm new to a computer and a support group. LYRICA--prescribed by pain specalist tried it for a week & 1/2. Did not help me w/ the pain, began wheezing, more tired, swollen ankles & feet AND GAINED 7 LBS.
