Guest guest
I saw a non-diabetic pt (180 lb) today with a painful Bartholin abscess. We could not do I & D today since she is menstruating heavily. Oral antibiotics started and plan to I & D soon. She doesn't have a GYN. We don't have any Word catheter in our clinic. Would I & D without a catheter be OK? Has anyone on the listserv made any "homemade" cathether with the usual supplies available in a FP clinic? Thank you in advance for any suggestions. I contacted Surescripts a year ago, and theysent me all the documentation I needed to get Synapse working withtheir EDI and internet based prescribing.I didn't proceed because basically there was no interest amonst myusers ... they were content to use fax for prescribing.-- Graham Chiuhttp://www.synapsedirect.comSynapse - the use from anywhere EMR.
