Guest guest
Is he having diarrhea after the feeding? That is usually the case with dumping syndrome. Does your doctor think he needs an abdominal xray to rule out constipation (impaction of stool)? Sometimes you can have stool higher up in the colon which is having a hard time getting out but at the same time get diarrhea as the loose stool goes around the harder stool. What kind of tube feeding formula is he on? Have they adjusted it since the diagnosis of dumping syndrome? My son Mason just hadthis done on 11/21 and he was doing ok but they determined that he haddumping syndrome. And he was put on Acorbose to control this. He'sbeen have a lot of stomach tightness and crying every time I move himor he tightens his stomach in anyway. I even try venting him and thathasn't been helping much. The doctor thinks it may just beconstipation but he's had plenty of BM's since the surgery, evendiarrhea. I'm just concerned because he NEVER complains and doesn'teven flinch when giving blood, which is using painful to kids. So hecan obviously tolerate pain so it seems as though he's in a lot ofpain. Has anyone else dealt with such a thing after G-tube surgery??Or does anyone else's child having dumping syndrome?? Any suggestions? Thanks,ChrissyMom to Mason (4 on 12/22, BF PMG, cortical vision impairment, CP,GERD, Seizure disorder) _________________________________________________________________ Send e-mail anywhere.
