Guest guest
Hello group, I was wondering if anyone has a child that has or had dumping syndrome after having a g-tube with the nissan surgery. My son Mason just had this done on 11/21 and he was doing ok but they determined that he had dumping syndrome. And he was put on Acorbose to control this. He's been have a lot of stomach tightness and crying every time I move him or he tightens his stomach in anyway. I even try venting him and that hasn't been helping much. The doctor thinks it may just be constipation but he's had plenty of BM's since the surgery, even diarrhea. I'm just concerned because he NEVER complains and doesn't even flinch when giving blood, which is using painful to kids. So he can obviously tolerate pain so it seems as though he's in a lot of pain. Has anyone else dealt with such a thing after G-tube surgery?? Or does anyone else's child having dumping syndrome?? Any suggestions? Thanks, Chrissy Mom to Mason (4 on 12/22, BF PMG, cortical vision impairment, CP, GERD, Seizure disorder)
