You should ask your doctor, but as someone who works medical fragile children in a school. They depend on all the health kids getting their shots to prevent them from getting sick. The more people who have a shot the less likely it is that anyone will get sick. Guest guest Posted December 8, 2008 Report Share Posted December 8, 2008 Hi, I am very cautious about using vaccines especially the DPaT shot. Side effects are seizures. Since we're already " there " we do not vaccinate our daughter - especially with that shot. There is limited good research on vaccines and the effect of overall health. I could go on and on but I'll just direct you to a web site of an organization that has been in existance since the 1980s - NVIC.org. I'll point you to a second site as well that I think is unbiased and pretty helpful. The decision to vaccinate or not is a very difficult one but one that should be the discretion of the parent or adult person and not something to be mandated by goverment.
