Guest guest
Hi! I know there were previous posts about Lyrica. I read all of them and none said anything about Lyrica helping the fatigue and exhaustion. I was diagnosed with Fibro. and CFS. Last week I went to a new rheumatologist who prescribed Lyrica 25mg. twice a day and gradually increasing it to 300mg. a day. Most of the time I am housebound due mainly to feeling weak and like I have to lay down. I really can't accurately describe the feeling. Once in a while I have a good day where I feel almost like my old self. I am afraid to start it as I ended up hospitalized when they were trying other medications. If it only helps the pain I won't even start it, but if I can get help with this sick feeling I would take anything. Has anyone on Lyrica been helped with the fatigue and exhaustion? Thanks. Guest guest
I'm not 100% positive, but I think Lyrica only helps with pain. My doctor just started me on Lyrica. He told me if I wasn't noticing a difference in a week or two then I was to fill a prescription for Provigil to take with the Lyrica. He said it helps with fatigue. He said they give it to MS pts. Strong warning: If you are in the fertile years be careful. You can get pregnant even when on birth control pills. Hope this is helpful.
