Guest guest
Hi, i'm pretty new to this group and am wondering if anybody has experience of seizure alarms. My 4 month old daughter has approx 20-30 seizures day and night. this puts her in the highest risk for SUDEP so i'm considering getting an alarm/alert device. Does anybody have any advice? Thanks Katy
Guest guest
Hi Katy, Just a couple months ago there were several post concerning seizure alarms. There were several responses and different ideas that were shared. I cann't remember all of them.  You can find some of the older posts on the PMG yahoo group page- go to where is says messages and it will take you to all of the previous messages sent out. I checked it and found the discussion started on Nov. 11 (you will see the dates). The subject will say baby monitors. Since your baby is 4 months old, one good option may be an apnea monitor that most insurance companies will cover. You may take some time just scrolling through and see if there are any subjects that jump out at you that you would like some imput on. Of course you can always just ask by posting. I have been on here for a couple of years and the same subjects come up often, but many times more information comes when it is discussed again. Hope this helps and hope you find the right seizure monitor for your daughter. Guest guest
We have the Emfit movement alarm and it works great. It's a little expensive but well worth it. They can't call it a " seizure alarm " in the US but it's sold in the UK as a seizure alarm. Steve > > Hi, i'm pretty new to this group and am wondering if anybody has experience of seizure alarms.
