I'm curious to know more about this. My son has had a clogged nose for two

weeks straight and antibiotics don't seem to be taking care of it like they

usually do. I never thought about a fungal sinus infection but he's been

goofier

than normal lately which usually indicates yeast for him.

Hi Gaylen,

I am following up with you on this.

My Allergist said he worked with the study at the Mayo Clinic on

Fungal Sinusitis. He said he saw incidence of it, but he feels the

best treatment for any sinus issues is the conservative

approach.....saline rinsings 2-3 times a day for a few months. If

this does not help he does prescribe an antifungal spray, but like in

my case it was not necessary. The saline did the trick. I feel

like I need to do this with my son, but have no idea how I am going

to get a 7 year old to rinse his sinus 2-3 times a day!!!
