Hi Aylwin---

LOVE your outburst at that damn fool doc!! I mean jeeze; one tagged me

as being 'borderline' as I 'switch moods' when seen although mostly I

am depressed. Well, I DO have major depression!! As to the 'mood

switch' thing, hellooo doc; perhaps if you did not just take this

illness as a damn joke I MIGHT not turn into a nasty thing before your

eyes or come in to see you once a month with an Attitude. Damn, that

doc is a fool! Ok; the Valcyte and Roche... while I DO advocate ANYONE

in any country who is able to get a prescription for the stuff IF their

doc sees it as being possibly beneficial (i.e. a stubbornly high HHV 6

count) then CALL ROCHE at their 'patient assistence' program which is

listed on their site; you do need to look for it!! In the states it is

. Now; I spoke to these people last week, the 18th. Two

phone screenings, then a couple of call backs. Second call back was

someone who again screened me, got my address again, and said she was

sending out a form which HAD to be completed by me and signed by my

doc. Could not be faxed to them; just mailed as the must have the

original signature; said I ought to get it Monday... So, Monday was a

holiday for the post... Now it is THURSDAY, 1-24 and I am STILL waiting!

We do have a rather notoriously bad post office here. I AM, however,

going to call THEM to see if they might fax the damn form to my doc's

office today. Who knows; not sure if this is worth it as I screwed up.

Should have called them sooner; have been off it -ran out & no

insurance til February- since Sunday. It's Thursday... Well, perhaps

someone else in his office might use the damn thing or whatever. Worth

a shot.

Jane, the one with the hound.
