Guest guest
My son has this too. You can feel it but not see it most times. But when it's really bad and he has been scratching or has just come out of the bath you can see it. When we first put him on antifungals it went away. Two years later, when his antifungal caused liver problems and I stopped it abruptly, it came back. When he went back on an antifungal it disappeared again. We just stopped all his meds in December and the only problem we've had is the hyperpiloris (which I know isn't spelled right -- not sure what the proper spelling is). It's back and, because it's winter and very cold and dry where we live, he has it on his legs, butt cheeks and hands. Poor thing. I have been using Aveeno bath soap and Aveeno moisturizer -- sometimes Glaxo base moisturizer and it has really helped. I wish I knew what it was too. No one seems to know. But there is a direct correlation to the cessation of antifungal meds, that's for sure.
