Guest guest
Hi Eileen, Sometimes the antifungal medicine needs to be changed. Your son may be reacting in a negative way to an ingredient in the Nizoral. I would ask to switch to Diflucan and see what happens. Take care, >From: " ebrischoux " <ebrischoux@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Cross post-sorry looking for help >Date: Sun, 29 Oct 2006 16:18:25 -0000 > >Hi all: > >Just looking for moral support thru this rough time...we just started > with our 22yr old....after 10 mos or so of aggressive lyme >treatment he ended up a total mess in dangerous behaviors... > >Saw Dr. R two weeks ago and he is high yeast titres which he feels is >the biggest part of he problem with his current behavior..the last >two >weeks have been rough with aggression and we increased Nizoral today >and it is even worse....not sure what I am looking for...help with >die >off....Dr. R told us to use aleve twice daily.....and maybe add in >Tylenol PM if needed... > >My spirit is breaking by the hour...I spend most of my time dodging >him so I get get hurt...I am told this should last no more than a >month.... > >Guess I am looking for moral support..and any advice! Guest guest
Hi Eileen, After the dye-off period they go back to behaving better! Hang in there!! Try to think about the outcome. We will pray for you!! Argie Cross post-sorry looking for help Hi all: Just looking for moral support thru this rough time...we just started with our 22yr old....after 10 mos or so of aggressive lyme treatment he ended up a total mess in dangerous behaviors... Saw Dr. R two weeks ago and he is high yeast titres which he feels is the biggest part of he problem with his current behavior..the last two weeks have been rough with aggression and we increased Nizoral today and it is even worse....not sure what I am looking for...help with die off....Dr. R told us to use aleve twice daily.....and maybe add in Tylenol PM if needed... My spirit is breaking by the hour...I spend most of my time dodging him so I get get hurt...I am told this should last no more than a month.... Guess I am looking for moral support..and any advice! Thanks Eileen
Guest guest
Eileen How long has he been on the Nizoral? Die off is a funny thing. We switched from Diflucan to Nizoral 2 weeks ago. We saw almost immediate improvement. Then after a week, we saw a downward trend. Dr G did not think it was die off, but I wonder. The last week has been hard on everyone, but I think it is harder on my son. I do not think anything helps....just taking a break if you can. (I spiked some low sugar Cranberry juice with diet 7up and vodka last week, and I never do that, so that tells me what a week it was.) Try to hang in there! > > Hi all: > > Just looking for moral support thru this rough time...we just started > with our 22yr old....after 10 mos or so of aggressive lyme > treatment he ended up a total mess in dangerous behaviors... > > Saw Dr. R two weeks ago and he is high yeast titres which he feels is > the biggest part of he problem with his current behavior..the last > two > weeks have been rough with aggression and we increased Nizoral today > and it is even worse....not sure what I am looking for...help with > die > off....Dr. R told us to use aleve twice daily.....and maybe add in > Tylenol PM if needed... > > My spirit is breaking by the hour...I spend most of my time dodging > him so I get get hurt...I am told this should last no more than a > month.... > > Guess I am looking for moral support..and any advice!
