Guest guest
It figures... I'm in the midwest..we're the last for these things. Suzi That's too bad. These places can be goldmines if you know what you're looking for. I've gotten jars of organic tahini for 50 cents. When I see the "good stuff" I buy it all because you never know when or if they will ever have it again. One week they had just gotten a shipment of frozen Amy's Organic Vegetable Pies. They are almost $3.00 each in health food stores and I like to take them to work. They had them for 79 cents each! I bought 20 of them!! lol! Guest guest
If you run into a deal on tahini like that would you be willing to pick me up about 4 and I'll give you my UPS account # or I'll pay you and postage to send to me??? Heck a jar of it runs around 4 to 5.00 Wish I were making a trip out there... lol Suzi Sometime when I go to that liquidator place and they have a bunch of real goodies I wish I could grab them all and send them to people! One week they must have had 100 cans of various kinds of Eden organic beans for 15- 25 cents each. I have about 10 jars of tahini right now. We also have yet another place called The Organic Warehouse and one month she was selling organic tahini 2 for $5.00. Between her place and Buy-Rite Liquidators I have enough tahini for 2 years! The Organic Warehouse is a huge place where she sells buy-outs and overruns from health food stores and manufacturers. Most of the time the stuff gets grabbed up within a hour or 2 of them putting it on the shelf! The liquidator place is the best, although sometimes they only have one or 2 of a product, like the time I got a big bottle of Spectrum Organic Apple Cider Vinegar for $1.00. I'll keep ya posted when I see some real deals! Gloria
Guest guest
Heck the nearest organic grocery store is basically an hour away..from home and about 1/2 hour from work. The best grocery store, in my opinion, is Whole Foods Market but they are at least an hour from me and I never get there. We have a regular large grocery store chain that is pretty well stocked with organic produce and the price is very comparable to regular produce. I also have access to organic farms locally. There is one about 5 min. from my house but you have to "join". It's some kind of a national experimental farm and it costs about $400 a year to belong. For that price you get all the organic produce you want from May-Oct. I might try to get the money to join next year. Rodale Farm (editors of Prevention) is a huge organic farm and it is also right near me but they don't sell to the public. Darn! But we do have some great Amish farms where I can get raw dairy and organic produce in season, so we are very lucky. Gloria
Guest guest
My son drinks the cranberry juice. We make it with less than 1/4 cup cranberry juice concentrate with 20 drops of stevia in 2 quarts of purified water. Stevia doesn't feed yeast. The cranberry is also pretty strong so it helps mask the supplements. nne Re: Debbie/Adult Son > > Hi Debbie: emailed me and asked me for my phone number. Guest guest
Wow, that sounds like a lot of juice. I missed the original post about this. How long a time is that quantity supposed to last? I ask because, when I continued to suffer from my pesticide poisoning, a doctor told me to buy a juicer and make fresh carrot juice. I actually felt better the very next day. However, the juice should be made fresh and drunk immediately. Therefore I only juice enough to fill one glass at a time. Amber Thank you for the suggestion of the juice recipe. Fresh food/juice is a wonderful thing for the body. ~Suzanne > 3/4 Gallon Carrot Juice > 4 ounces of Beet juice > 8 ounces Celery juice > 1 ounce Parsley juice > 1 ounce spinach juice .
