Guest guest
Cheryl Congratulations on your son's progress. With immune issues, it takes a lot of battles through all of the illnesses,, but it is worth it in the end. You are very fortunate to be able to see Dr Goldberg when needed, as opposed to being long distance, as he can treat aggressively when needed. One thing I have learned about my own son, he has a problematic immune system, and so do many others in his family. We have to do whatever we can to help it so he can grow and develop. And so he does not develop other very serious illnesses down the road. > > Well, I've now been taking my son to see Dr. G for several months now > and I'm sure impressed with his progress. Guest guest
It's also called Immunovir. An antiviral and has immune modulator properties. If you google it you'll get a lot of info. Used a lot oversees for HIV, CFS, Arthritis, etc. It helps NK cells function better. That's another thing, Gryffin's NK cells were 4.4% and I can't remember if that was a little high or a little low. Can anyone help me remember? cheryl On Sep 9, 2007, at 4:33 PM, Mitch wrote: > What is Isoprinosine? > > lisa > Update on Gryffin > > Well, Gryffin isn't eating again. Dr. G has us on iron again. Guest guest
Hi- NK cells should be ideally above 8%, and you like to see them at 15% if I remember. I don't think it's that great if they get over 12%. My youngests' NKs were 2%, and after a couple of years on antivirals they made it up to 8%. I think chronic viral infection can reduce them, or by them being reduced can allow viral reactivation ... I suppose it works both ways.
