Guest guest
Hi, There are several forms of PMG some of which are genetic and some not. They can do genetic testing to see if they can find a genetic cause for you. In our case, they did testing for my granddaughter and the first " round " came back negative. They can test further but most insurance companies won't pay for it. According to our geneticist, if it IS genetic there is a 25% chance that a sibling can be born with PMG. However, I think that it's more common that the reason why they have PMG is unknown. Sometimes viruses, some temporary cause of lack of oxygen to the brain in utero, illness during pregnancy. In a lot of cases, the answers are just not there. It's scary to be sure. Best wishes to your family. I am hoping for the very best for all of you. Guest guest
I have a second daughter with no problems. I waited 10 years to do it. It was scary, but worth it. Congratulations!!
