Guest guest
Hi my daughter is mainly bottle and tube fed via a g tube and is on a high calorie milk to supply all her nutritional requirements. She has lots of saliva, prob not helped by her hands always in her mouth. We get lots of chest infec and seem to be on a bad run of them. I am thinking the high dairy intake is not helping her saliva production, although her consultant does not agree. Does anyone else have this prob and give any natural supplements, i was thinking of a probiotic because of all the antibiotics and maybe some multivitamin too. She has fish oil at the moment. I am sure her diet is lacking something, she so prone to infections. She is not mobile and has very low tone. thanks lou
Guest guest
my daughter had many chest infections as an infant. Come to find out she was aspirating. We stayed on thickened liquids with jer bottle until she was 2.5 then she progressed to thin liquids. Maybe have a swallowing study done if you haven't already.
