So actually if he tore his fascia away from the bone, then there is little any poultice will do with the exception of maybe BF & C. Lots of MSM, DMSO, comfrey. He doesn't have an infection in the usual sense. This infection is caused by his bodies own mechanisms attempting to repair what is damaged. There are no foreign invaders in this one. Lancing it isn't going to do much and antibiotics are only going to create more problems then they will solve. He needs to stay off of his foot for however long it takes. Hot/cold three times a day, taking in lots of MSM and using poultices on it to help it heal quicker. Taking BF & C in capsules will be of great help too. Garlic is most likely not going to do squat nor will the antibiotics because there are no bacteria infecting the area. This isn't any different then what went on with your knee or if you rip a muscle or tear a tendon. The body will react in the same way. -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Guest guest
I don't know if the dreft would pull it out, it might cause it to break on its own and drain though. Now the Emu would penetrate the skin and get inside. I was also reading that Jojoba oil can penetrate 3 layers of skin, so any herbal you want to try might work better with this as it's base. Tea Tree oil is supposed to be excellent for causing pus to come to a head and has been used for foot rot and infections there for ages.Forgot about that one. Emu oil is well known for healing those hard to heal wounds too. I have only used it on one would infection here, and it did work really fast, but it wasn't anything like this man's foot. I agree with Don that a poultice would be helpful but there are times when the body has a problem so deep that it takes too long for a poultice to work and where bone tissue is envolved and the possibility of infection entering the marro, time can be an important issue. Sometimes when a trauma occurs to deep cells and the body begins collecting body fluids trying to heal itself, it can get pretty serious. This happens a lot in foot injuries as well as hip injuries. My husband was on the tractor down a rocky incline and the front wheel gave way flipping the tractor head over tail and threw him violently onto the rocks. He was sore for some time but went on about his business. six or 8 months later his hip began to bother him which he ignored for another several months. when he finally did go to Dr his side was quite swollen and very painful. the doctor did surgery and the stinking coffee colored fluid poured out, over a quart of rank matter. The tissues were decaying and by then were attacking the surface of the bones. it is somewhat like a decaying tooth.. so there is somewhat infection whether it be from an outer intrance or one begun by pollution. the huge area had to have a drain inserted so that it could heal internally. he, being a large man, had o lot of flesh between the trauma and his dermis, so it wuld have taken far too long for the the problem to come to a natural 'head'. Perhaps had we been more aware of the healing properties of herbs and had realized the extent of the trauma much earlier, the surgery could have been unneccesary, but sometimes it is too late to take the longer time for the herbs to help the healing. just my 2 cents... Guest guest
Hello, I'm coming in late on this one. Has anyone mentioned castor oil poultices? These have the best drawing power of anything. Soak a piece of thick cloth in castor oil, put it between two plates over a pan of simmering water until hot (try it on the inner side of your wrist first...don't burn the patient). Replace every two hours or so. I would also be taking: 1,000mg garlic oil capsules 3 times daily , ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) fluid extract of echinacea 3 times daily until the abscess has healed then once a day for 3-4 weeks. 4000mg vitamin C with bioflavonoids 3 times daily for 1 week then once daily.. If the wound opens, pack it with raw, unprocessed honey. It will work. Nerys Blueprints for Daily Living www.neryspurchon.com
