Guest guest
Dear Debbie, You are not alone on this one. My son (age 6) also has trouble falling asleep. Occasionally, his dad and I go to bed and presumably fall asleep before he does. It's possible that a medication (such as SSRI) is the culprit. Reactions to certain foods could also be to blame. It's such a hard problem to pinpoint. I've been tempted to try one of those weighted blankets to see if it would calm down my son and help him stop fidgeting and go to sleep. (He has a tendency to seek sensory input) Anyone have experience with those? April [sPAM] sleep problems! Hi all! I'm new here and was wondering if someone could give me some suggestions on how to get my son to bed at a descent hour. My 5 year old son has autism and it seems no matter how tired he is he wont go to bed untill he's ready, we have a routine every night he watches a movie or I read books to him then it's bed time, but I cant seem to get him to sleep before 10pm , he is in school now and he fights me everyday getting up to go to school, I think he would be better if he got more sleep, does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Debbie
