Guest guest
http://www.autism-hub.co.uk/nih-response/ If you have an interest in the way autism research is heading and would like to say something to the National Institute of Mental Health about it please consider signing the above petition letter that will be sent to the NIMH. For more details see: http://autismdiva.blogspot.com/2007/01/steering-autism-research.html or http://neurodiversity.com/weblog/article/117/ There are instructions on both of these blogs on how to send your own message to the NIH/ NIMH, you can sign the petition and send a letter, too. If you do send a specific letter to them, you might want to mention that you also signed the petition. I'd like to see many signatures on it. It could make a big difference in all our lives to have the mainstream look for the good in autism and the successful strategies in autistics, rather than constantly seeing us only as a collection of deficits (which is not to say we have no deficits). Thanks. Camille
