allergies

I have a question for everyone/anyone with regard to allergies. My son has

been a patient of Dr. Goldberg's for nearly 4 years with great results.

However his IgE which was once in the 3000's with a RR of 0-60 is still in

the 1600's. Dr. Goldberg keeps telling me that it will improve as my son

gets healthier. Yet me sons diet is so limited and now I have to take even

more out of his diet..tapioca and brown rice. What I constantly have to

eliminate from his diet never seems to stop. My son is doing extremely

well, however the biggest behavioural fallouts can always be traced to food

infractions. A friend of mine until recently had terrible allergies and

eczema so bad her hands, feet and knees would be cracked and bleeding so

badly she could hardly walk. She started seeing a doctor for histamine

injections - from synthetic bee pollen I believe. While it all sounds too

simple, I have watched her go from an extremely strict diet eliminating

pretty much all the things I keep away from my son, with only slight

improvement to a woman who can now eat anything - dairy, wheat, citrus,

berries and so on with perfectly healthy skin, more energy and she is much

healthier overall. This metamorphosis has taken only 3 months after 2 years

of dietary elimination and naturopathic intervention. This doctor told her

she had chronic fatigue syndrome. What makes me wonder about this is that

my son, even at his highest IgE count, never had a positive reaction to the

typical histamine allergy tests. I have been thinking about this for months

and as I take more and more food away from my child. I know that his

allergies are the last piece of the puzzle for him as he is completely

normal until I give him strawberries, or cheerios and I see this zoney,

spacey, bouncy kid who cannot focus. On a tight diet he is no different

from his peers. Has anyone heard anything about this? I am so afraid to

try anything, not only for Dr. G's wrath, but I also do not want to undo any

of the progress that we have made in nearly 4 years. The sight is

would love to hear from anyone if they have heard of or have any experience
