Thanks Jan... I would love to go to Manzanero or but for financial reasons I'm going to give Dr. Mabray a try first and then go from there. I just don't have much faith in any doctor any more... other than House!! ha haAnyway... I just wish it could really be like that show... that there were more doctors than not that were educated about the whole picture and cared about their patients well being instead of just what the numbers on the chart say.Jan wrote: is not the only doc on our list who treats adrenal insufficiency. Manzanero in Austin is hypoadrenal himself and would be a lot closer to you. What got him to the hospital again was that

he'd driven his electric wheelchair into the family pool (thought to be a suicide attempt..only to be discovered by House as an attempt to regulate his body temp!). This leads to House making a request after having an epiphany after poring over 8 years of symptoms his interns took down as part of his differential (the man was essentially a vegetable at the time). The solution? It was his adrenals! A shot of cortisol was given and the man "snapped out of it," and tried to stand up out of his motorized wheelchair and hug his family.I looked at my DH and said, "THIS is why folks are going to see Dr. R (and others who get the big picture)!!"By the way, I'm flying to Lubbock. I bought my tickets (thank goodness for Southwest Internet fares!) last night. My only obstacle will be killing time when I get to Lubbock and then after my blood draw the next morning. My flight doesn't leave out til 8:15
