Regarding the discussion on chelation:

I would never do the Dr Buttar method or the IV chelation that alot of parents

are flocking to.

I know my son pre-nids had hair analysis performed and he threw alot of heavy

metals, aluminum, arsenic, lead and mercury. I never knew at the time what to do

with the heavy metal info, this was the pre-chelation, pre-nids period, mid

1990's.

A safer approach according to Dr Mercola is to use Chlorella to clear toxins

from the body. If you google Dr Mercola you can come across his website. You can

pick up Chlorella at any health food store, make sure you look for Yaeyama

Chlorella. Dr Mercola has had some good sucess with autistic patients using the

chlorella in reducing heavy metals and also making dietary changes (no grain

diet.....or scd)

Another approach I have read is taking magnetic clay baths, but I would think

rather then a full bath a foot bath would be best. I have 5 lbs of magnetic clay

here at home, but I have not used it on my autistic child.

After purchasing the clay, I have become aprehensive because of the concern

that it would leach all of the nutrients and minerals (and meds!) out of his

body. We just went through a tough time due to vitamin b deficiency, and I don't

think depleting all of the minerals and nutrients from his body would be a wise

idea.

For me I have opted to put my whole family on the Yaeyama chlorella, nothing

crazy just as directed on the bottle.
