Guest guest
Hi Mel. Did you just get these off their site? I don't see any basic ones without writing. > > > ** > > > > > > My son is 20 months and the awesome Green Sprouts bibs I've been using for > > his all-day wear are too small but I'm having trouble finding something > > similar in a larger size. Guest guest
http://www.carters.com/carters/4-Piece-Teething-Bibs/V_128-675,default,pd.html?d\ wvar_V__128-675_color=Various & start=1 & navid=carters-search Ok, that may be a problem if you only want plain ones:( They ususually come in 3 or 4 packs where 2 have writing and 2 don't. (At least the 2 packs I've gotten do). I usually use the ones w/ writing on them at home and the striped ones when we're going to be out and about. I don't have the pack that I attached but my packs are similar. I have never ordered online from 's. If you sign up for their e-mail updates you get coupons sometimes which is nice. Hope that helps. Also, my guy has macrocephaly, too. His speech also sounds similar. He has several words but he'll have a word and then seem to just 'lose' it. Is that what happens w/ your guy? Guest guest
This too happens to our son , 14 months, also with macrocephaly. He will say different words and then they will go away and then come back later out of nowhere. > ** > > > Hi Mel. Did you just get these off their site? Guest guest
Hey - I'm posting in the wrong place, so sorry (yahoo ID isn't working...). Very briefly... After Quinn was born, my friend started a charity, Out of the Gray, to help women caregivers who find themselves in pretty extreme circumstances. I was barely making it out of the house in clean clothes, never mind things without holes and stains. She saw that there was a need for decent clothing, selected for the individual shape, needs, and preferences of a client. Her work is amazing.** Six years after Quinn arrived, Out of the Gray is involved in a contest - the winner receives a grant for $5000. That money allows us to serve an additional 16 women in 2012. Please vote, chare the link, encourage your friends, family, acquaintances, medical personnel, whomever, to go and vote as well. **The deadline is noon Friday, December 9, PST** Voting page: http://brooksidefoods.maker.good.is/projects/nurturingcaregivers# Style with Purpose (blog): http://stylewithpurpose.blogspot.com/ Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Out-of-the-Gray/158488604465 -- Out of the Gray Serving caregivers who give their all. Guest guest
Yes, they come and go. So far they have been Momma, baba, Daddy or Dadda, did, ning ning and I could swear nana one time. Started in February, the only milestone he ever hit on target ;-) Then went and have came back randomly. He had Dadda for a while, lost it and now it's back again. Not sure if his brain is just allowing itself to be overtaken by his developing Fine and Gross motor skills that have taken off lately. Our neuro said today that sounds like he's just delayed. That if he had 50 words and they came and went that would be another issue. We will watch and wait.... like with everything else ;-) > > > > > > > ** > > > > > > > > > > > > > > My son is 20 months and the awesome Green Sprouts bibs I've been using > > for > > > > his all-day wear are too small but I'm having trouble finding something > > > > similar in a larger size. Guest guest
& Mel, do your kids just have PMG and Macrocephaly or is the Macro part of a larger diagnosis? I think I wrote it earlier but Ian has been diagnosed with MCM Macro Capillary Malformation > > > > > > > ** > > > > > > > > > > > > > > My son is 20 months and the awesome Green Sprouts bibs I've been using > > for > > > > his all-day wear are too small but I'm having trouble finding something > > > > similar in a larger size. Guest guest
Shari, As far as we know, Luke just has PMG (BFPP) and Macro. Macro during my pregnancy was what led to the PMG diagnosis via fetal MRI. He has enlarged ventricles but it hasn't turned into hydrocephalus. He's had several MRI's since birth to watch the growth of his ventricles because his head has continued to enlarge at a somewhat alarming (mysterious) rate. They still don't know why. He has excess fluid around his brain but it's starting to slowly decrease. Megalencephaly and Macrocephaly are essentially the same thing, right? What exactly is Megalencephaly capillary malformation as it was explained to you? Luke is in a research study and so far part of the info we've gotten was that he falls on that spectrum along w/ PMG - my neuro basically said that depending on who is doing the diagnosis depends on if it's called macro or megalen. I'd be interested to hear how it was explained to you. The language thing sounds exactly the same - a few weeks ago he had 'apple' solid! He was saying it fairly clearly and gesturing toward it in books. Aaannnnddd it's gone. He'll sometimes repeat it if I say it but he won't point towards it anymore or spontaneously say it. Our SLP said the same thing as your neuro basically - as long as he's making gains and developing more words than he's losing then we shouldn't worry:) Easier said than done, right????
