Guest guest
Well I finally got a reply from Dr Cregan's nurse. She rang me back and 'made out' they were very busy and it would be better if I stick with Dr Peach. She said they have trouble accommodating the patients they already have!!! My husband decided to give them a call himself. The nurse said they were having another information night in Dec and would be taking new patients....after a lot of questions ( they are taking new bookings in Dec but are too busy to accommodate the patients they already have) the nurse admitted that Dr Cregan didn't want to take another surgeons patient...apparently there is some silent agreement between doctors and they don't want to upset a fellow surgeon by taking his patients.. Oh well at least we got to the bottom of it all. It looks like I will have to go with Dr Peach. The problem is that he is only in Penrith 1 day a month. I have an appointment to see him on the 21st but I'm sure he will reband me. I really would have preferred Dr Cregan as he is just down the road and does his surgery just down the road where I had my two children. I am a bit disappointed but now waiting to see Dr Peach. Thanks for your help everyone, Nic I have a feeling Dr Peach will cost the same as the initial banding but I'm ok with that. I'm just so excited that my husband has come around (he was a bit over the whole band thing) but I think he has realised that this is the only way I will get to my goal and as he said ' he just wants me to be happy' ain't he a darling!! > > The issue of re-banding was discussed at a Dr /Dr Cregan information > night and these Dr's bulk bill if a replacement band is required due to > problems with the band. > > > > _____ > > From: SydBand [mailto:SydBand ] On Behalf Of > > Sent: Thursday, November 13, 2008 2:42 PM > To: SydBand > Subject: Re: Ingrid > > > > Hiya Ingrid > Some surgeons will reband at a lesser cost - mine didnt, still had to pay > the same price.
