Similar thing (only completely different)happened to

me a month ago. I had been taking Ativan at least

0.5mg once a day and up to 0.5mg three times daily.

I called in for a refill and did not get up to the

pharmacist's to retrieve it for a week. Went without

for nearly that long. This was also about the time I

figured out that Ibuprofen was causing tongue sores

and I went to aspirin. I ended up with a rebound

headache that I did not know if I would get relief

from. I mentioned this to my doc, and he agreed that

it prob was a rebound from not getting the Ativan.

Moral of the story--don't run out.

Even if you don't have hallucinations or headaches,

you can end up in the hospital in withdrawals. NO fun.

Thanks, . Your experience is sure to help someone else who

takes the patches to control pain. I'm sure having a fever would

cause the patch to release medications faster...or at least it

would seem that way to me. In any event, you have given the right

direction--call your doctor if you have a question or a situation

in which you may need your doctor's direction.
