Guest guest
Great weekend at IMP Camp. Very motivating ... makes me feel very hypomanic! At one small group, as folks were reporting their various struggles (insurance headaches, dead zones, etc) it was glaring how the IMP concept is working through various kinks and transitioning. As many of you may already realize, I do like metaphors. And, in the same way, I hate to waste a good cliche. So, with apologies to any real historians, I thought of how we are all now like the USA was in the mid-late 1780's. The States had declared independence and won a war, but the details on how a government should work were being discussed. I guess we can call this email list our own version of the Federalist Papers! (ok, now THAT is a stretch, but, like I said I like metaphors).Anyhow, with apologies to Mr Madison, I'd like to share this preamble to a constitution -- We the doctors, in order to form a more perfect health care system, establish patient-centered collaberative care, provide primary medical services, promote the general wellness of our patients, and secure the blessings of financial security to ourselves and our posterity,do ordain and establish these Ideal Medical Practices ....... now, the hard part ... YOU go and make your office a beacon of hope for patients and physicians alike. Each of our practices can be the articles of the constitution making up the whole of our great " document, " this IMP movement. Thanks to everyone -- organizers, mentors, participants -- for a great IMP Camp. I hope you all enjoyed your time in Rochester and have gained knowledge and motivation that will help your medical practices thrive and allow you to live the fulfilling lives you dream of.Tim---------------------------------------- Malia, MDMalia Family Medicine & Skin Sense Laser6720 Pittsford-Palmyra Rd.Perinton Square MallFairport, NY 14450 (phone / fax)www.relayhealth.com/doc/DrMaliawww.SkinSenseLaser.com-- Confidentiality Notice --This email message, including all the attachments, is for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and contains confidential information.
