Guest guest
I have a very HF son going into Jr. High and am a little concerned about the whole social situation. How have others dealt with this? Like many of our kids, mine is much more immature than typical. We've started to notice a lot of girls interested in him. I'm not sure what to do about this because he's very naive (and, not interested in girls). I don't want to scare him about this, but I also don't want him taken advantage of, or some other negative situation occurring. I would imagine this whole Jr. High/High school thing is worrisome for most parents with autistic kids. I know as his world grows larger my worries seem to increase as well. Thanks for any advice! Guest guest
Hi, I have not read this, yet, but a good friend with a very HF high school son highly recommended this book to me, " Adolescents on the Autism Spectrum " , by Chantal Sicile-Kira. I ordered it from Amazon. Again, I have not read a word of it, yet, but maybe someone else on this might have an opinion to share.
