Guest guest
Dr. Mabray in is a GYN and very good for thyroid problems in general. He prescribes Armour Thyroid which may be your ticket to losing weight and solving the female problems. You really do not need an endo for anything except RAI. Our doctor list is on our site in "Files." There is also a database with positive and negative entries for about 20 docs. I had follicular carcinoma 1992. I travel from the DFW area to Lubbock to see Dr. E. Steve . He is in Family Practice, but his background is research and teaching steroid biochemistry. cagleracing9 wrote: Good morning EV1 I am in Texas. I was diagnosed w/Pappilary Carcinoma on Sept 2004. Complete Thyroidectomy done, Parathyroidectomy done, & Radiation. Had my one year Body Scan in December 05, everything appeared okay. I take 2x112mcg @ day of Synthroid. Levels have been okay according to Oncologist. I am still having severe female issues and stomach problems. Also, can't loose any weight for anything!!! Have any of you had these problems??? We do not have any Endocrinologist in . I tried a couple of them in Houston, and they knew nothing about Thyroid Cancer. Does anyone have any suggestions for a GOOD doctor around my areas? Thanks for your help...Have a good day!! Yahoo! Messenger with Voice. PC-to-Phone calls for ridiculously low rates. Guest guest
Mabray is not an endo. He is a GYN. There are not very many endos on our list. The few endos who Rx Armour tend to keep most patients undermedicated. If you read our list, the specialty of each doc is noted. Most of the better thyroid docs are in primary care: GPs, internists, family practitioners. The closest endos who might be of help to you are Cohn in Corpus and Vivien in Houston. I highly recommend my doc in Lubbock, not an endo. cagleracing9 wrote: Thank you Jan for that info. Is Dr Mabray an Endo also??
