Does anyone have a presentation? I have been asked to talk to the

staff at my son's elementary school about so they can all get a

better understanding of " what is wrong with the brain and why " .

Dr Gs presentations are long and medical so I did not know if anyone

knew of one that is shorter. Maybe I should make one and put it in the

files section ??? Or do you think showing the Tupelo, MS DVD is

best???

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

What about the powerpoint presentation on Dr. G's website at...

http://www.neuroimmunedr.com/present3/sld001.htm

Maybe you could use part of that for visuals (with his permission, of

course). I haven't looked at it for a while.

If you have the newer DVD maybe you could tape portions of it onto a VCR

tape to stop and start as you speak to illustrate points (again with Dr. G's

permission).

That article you posted from Discover magazine is good reference material

(to show that this has become a widely accepted theory).

I wish I could come watch what you come up with! I wish the staff at my

son's middle school were more interested. There's only one teacher at my

there (wouldn't it figure it's the science teacher) who even seems curious

abut what is going on, though.

I would LOVE it if you made one and put it into the files section.

On Dr. G's website there is an article that addresses " the new autism " and " what

is " They are actual summarized versions that might help you with your

presentation. Side note, that is exciting your school is open to such a

presentation!

Thank you both for your suggestions! I will get Dr Gs permission and

i will come up with something for " teachers and parents' and put it

on the Files section.

Just an FYI....a teacher at the school actually sent me the Discover

magazine article! So when I told her, yes that is what Jack is being

treated for, i think she put 2 and 2 together. (he is being treated

for immune problems and getting better in school!) So for her it ws a

light bulb going on and that is why she asked me to do this!

Thanks... I'll look forward to seeing what you put together... BEST OF LUCK!

I just had a teacher show interest yesterday when we were e-mailing back and

forth about what my little guy could cook at school in his Family and

Consumer Sciences class. I think things sort of clicked in her head... she

has an autoimmune disorder and when she understood why we are limiting my

son's diet, she was very gracious about working with us.

Can you please elaborate on the Discover magazine article. Where can we find

it?

and Sal,

Copy and paste the below link into your browser window. (It's so long that

clicking on it may not work).

The article is on the Discover Magazine website and it's called " Autism:

It¹s Not Just in the Head " .

http://discovermagazine.com/2007/apr/autism-it2019s-not-just-in-the-head/?se

archterm=autism

Good luck.
