Guest guest
Hi Jade, I am sorry this has come up for you. I just wanted to say, if you can, keep the cut as clean as you can and covered till you can chat to your doctor. I am prone to infection and I just donj't want that to happen to you at all. I hope you get it sorted out and this is the only hassle you have. Keep up the good work > > I was 3 weeks banded yesterday and all looked like it was going well, > the left of my port cut has a small scab less than 1cm long and last > night it fell off leaving puss underneath and a little open hole. > > Just a bit disapointed, but it doesnt look like a big infection, will > call Dr as soon as his rooms open and see what to do. > > Jade >
Guest guest
Hi Jade, Don't stress. It's ok. I also had a small infection at port site following surgery. I just went on a course of anti biotics and it cleared up no probs. I have an appointment with him this morning, and he is just back from holidays, and can be busy catching up, so just let Penny know you have a port issue and she will fit you in more quickly than normal patients. Hope everything else going well for you. ....Ali To: SydBand From: jtomulescu@...Date: Tue, 2 Dec 2008 06:51:29 +1100Subject: Port Infection I was 3 weeks banded yesterday and all looked like it was going well, the left of my port cut has a small scab less than 1cm long and last night it fell off leaving puss underneath and a little open hole.
