Guest guest
What would happen if folks started filing complaints about not being diagnosed and adequately treated & tested? If you KNOW that your doctor is not doing these things, do you have an obligation to formally complain? If enough folks complain, will pigs fly? in Midland Re: Re: Fwd: TMB Release: Medical Boards Disciplines a Record 99 Doctors I am still waiting to see a doc get skewered by the board for failing to diagnose and adequately treat a hypothyroid patient, for failing to order a requested Free T3, for failure to prescribe Armour or Cytomel for a patient who needs it, for making patients wait half an hour while he tells and listens to stories with drug detail people. . . .(This has happened to me.) Guest guest
You go girl! I would especially like to see docs disciplined for: shoving antidepressants at hypothyroid women failing to offer all treatment options (for both hypos and hypers) accusing women of lying about what they are eating (The husband of lady who was at our last meeting said the doc even accused him of lying about what she was eating.) blaming the patient for their symptoms telling them they need to exercise more and eat less, when they can just barely get up off of the couch failing to recognize all of the possible symptoms of hypothyroidism inappropriately prescribing statins and blood pressure meds without recognizing the thyroid connection I am only afraid that this may backfire and expose the good docs who finally diagnosed and treated to scrutiny by the board. As I said, I am not holding my breath. I never did get diagnosed with the hypothyroidism I had for years. I was actually glad to have the thyroid cancer diagnosis, because that got me my thyroid meds. Too bad $ynthroid was such a disappointment. . . ."c.nelson" wrote: What would happen if folks started filing complaints about not being diagnosed and adequately treated & tested?
